HOW TO RECOGNIZE A DOCTOR FROM A QUACK??

  Ayurvedic Doctor Quack
Qualifications Doctor undergoes a 5 year intensive medical training course from a recognized institution. Absolutely no formal training or medical education .
Clinic License Will be having Panchayat or Municipality License to run clinic. Clinic will not be officially recognized by any local authority.
Registration Will be Registered with the Local Medical Council for practicing Ayurvedic Medicine. No Registration number with the Local Medical Council.
Profile
  • Doctor will be associated with some Medical Association.
  • Doctor's Domicile will be from the same local area where he is practicing.
  • Will have good amount of local patients.
  • Doctor will be willing  to provide his credentials.
  • Will not be member of any Medical Association.
  • Will not be born in the place he is practicing.
  • Will not be catering to the needs of local patients.
  • Will get angry if asked for any documented credentials.
Language Command All Ayurvedic Doctors speak English fluently, as they are college educated. Will speak in broken English or Touristy English meaning few words and lot of actions.
Appearence All Ayurvedic Doctors in Goa are modern in their approach and hence are always dressed in western attire of shirt and pants.  Even casual mode of dress is acceptable. Most of the quacks try to look Traditional or Indian or  Keralite. This is a sure sign that they may be trying to fool with their appearance. Ayurveda has nothing to do with what the doctor wears, it has to do with what genuine treatments the doctor gives.
Clinic Hygiene
  • Immaculate and clean.
  • Clinic like appearance.
  • Generally having own medicine dispensing unit (pharmacy).
  • Organized and systematic.
  • Consultation and Therapy room will be separate.
  • Having qualified Ayurvedic assistance.
  • Not very clean.
  • Does not look like a clinic.
  • No medicine dispensing unit.
  • One man operation.
  • All activities in one place.
  • No trained personnel.
